Message: Thanks again Peter for your enquiry. I edited the second main picture on our front page. The entrance to the pits was just left of the start / finish line. We hope this may assist you. Good luck.

Message: Thanks for the info re the location, another bit of info that might help me. Where on that pic of the track is the pits. I can get my bearings knowing the location. And I've got a great memory of being about 10 years old going with my Dad to the pits for the first time and meeting Bill Wigzell. He seemed like a gladiator just returned from a great battle, and seeing Suddenly up close was amazing!

Message: Peter, thankyou for your comment. On our home page the second track photo shows cars on Torrens Road. On the bottom left you can see some factories. They are actually on Coglin Street and the main entrance for competitors was from Coglin Steet. I hope this gives you a bit better idea of where Rowley Park Speedway was located.

Message: I've just moved into Brompton in the estate that was built on the old Rowley Park track. I've been trying to find a map that shows the position of where the track was in relation to the surronding streets. If anyone can direct me to one would be great!
Would love to be able to pinpoint some of my favourite vantage points from back in the early 70's!

Message: Hi I have been watching this site for a while now. However there are a lot of photos of car 6 Phil Hoskin but no driver profile. I can remember that he owned Port Motor Wreckers. Is a driver profile on him in the pipeline? It would be great to know more about the man & his driving history.
Roger
