Joe Brandler 25 trailing Phil Herreen 97. Phil Herreen started speedway in 1958 as a mechanic and 4 years later he become a competitor. Phil Herreen was a National Speedcar Champion and one of Australia's most popular and successfull Speedway drivers.... Unfortunately Phil's career was cut short in 1993 after a serious Speedcar accident at Speedway City. A short video on Phil Herreens serious accident is on the bottom of our home page. Phil Herreen in 2007 was awarded the Senior Australian of the Year award
