John Boulger was twice Australian Solo Champion in 1971 at Claemont Speedway Western Australia and 1973 at the Sydney Showgrounds, John Boulger was runner up in 1974 and was third in 1972 and 1979. John Boulger also won nine South Australian State titles and raced world wide. John Boulger also tried Sprintcar and Speedcar racing after finishing on Solo's. John teamed up with the Taylor team and had a motor cycle shop. After finishing his very successfull speedway career John Boulger was living at West Beach and was driving taxi's.
