Ray Revell was born in 1912 and passed away in 1967. Ray Revell began his speedway career in 1934at Wentworth Park in Sydney. Ray was a pioneer of Australian Speedcar racing after being a champion runner as a youth. Ray Revell was australian Speedcar Champion in 1947, 1950, 1951, 1952 and 1953. Ray was also the winner of the Speedcar World Championships in 1948, 1950, 1952 and 1956 as well as Queensland Champion and Sydney Champion. Ray Revell was successfull in the USA and New Zealand. In 1947 Ray imported a factory Offenhauser Speedcar from USA, the first one in Australia... Howard Revell, Rays son was also a top Australian Speedcar driver....
